1st October : Members once more met up at Pembroke House for a meeting and were joined at the bar by residents for a social chat and drink. During the meeting it was explained to members by the Secretary how the Branch had received a cheque for £250.00 from the executors of the late John Henry Blake. Before accepting the bequest the Treasurer had sort advice from the National Association Treasurer, as it was Mr Blake’s wishes that the money be given to a local Branch, there was no issue in the Branch accepting the generous gift. It was during October that another of our members Roy Lepper passed away. Roy was an ex TAG and joined the Branch in 2010 when the TAG Association disbanded. Unfortunately the news of his passing did not reach the Branch until the day before his funeral and therefore members were unable to attend.
